GSEB Standard 10 - Computer Studies

Welcome to the GSEB Standard 10 Computer Studies resource hub. This year is foundational, introducing you to web designing, operating systems, spreadsheets, and the world of programming with the C language.

Target Audience

This syllabus is uniform for all Standard 10 students in the Gujarat Board, serving as a prerequisite for Science, Commerce, and General streams in Standard 11 & 12. Resources are available for both English Medium and Gujarati Medium.

Syllabus Overview

The Standard 10 curriculum is divided into four major modules that provide a well-rounded digital education.

🌐 Part 1: Web Designing with HTML

  1. Introduction to HTML: Building your first webpage.
  2. Head and Body Sections: Understanding document structure.
  3. Handling Images: Adding visual elements to your site.
  4. Lists and Tables: Organizing data effectively.
  5. Hyperlinks: Connecting multiple web pages.

🐧 Part 2: Operating System (Ubuntu Linux)

  1. Introduction to Ubuntu Linux: Learning about open-source OS.
  2. Ubuntu Desktop & Applications: Navigating the GUI and using default tools.

📊 Part 3: Spreadsheets (Calc)

  1. Introduction to Calc: Basics of spreadsheet software.
  2. Formatting Data: Making your sheets professional.
  3. Simple Functions: Using formulas for calculations.
  4. Charts in Calc: Visualizing data through graphs.

💻 Part 4: Programming with C Language

  1. Introduction to C Language: Your first step into coding.
  2. Data Types & Operators: Fundamentals of data handling.
  3. Control Statements: Implementing logic with if-else and loops.
